I have attached the original email that I sent a few days ago, so that some of the new names on the list are not caught off-guard. I am sorry I did not include some of you originally, but this meeting grew. I hope most of you can attend. I have changed the original starting time of 1 pm to 10 am to accomodate travel plans and give us more time. Date: August 15th Time: 10 am Place: Room 3-192 on third floor of Physics bldg 510 e at BNL Informal agenda so far: 1) Brett Viren will update us on MINOS progress 1/2 hour 2) Bill Marciano will tell us about his new idea 1/2 hour 3) Adam para will tell us about his new ideas 1/2 hour lunch 1 hr 4) Kirk Mcdonald 1/2 hour 5) ICARUS update - TBA 1/2 hour 6) Bill Morse will tell us about Zuchelli's idea of making nu_e beam 7) Discussion ~2 hours. Regards Milind ==================================================== Original email Gentlemen: Several of us have talked to each other during and after Snowmass about neutrinos. We thought, we should have a small meeting at BNL to see how to proceed towards a good experiment that can be built within the next 5 years. The goal is to get a measurement of sinth_3 and lay the ground work for the next step (neutrino factory). There are several proposals talked about. It will be useful if we can all pull together on one of these. I intend to have only a couple of formal talks at the meeting and then discussion. I like to make it half day in the afternoon. =================
