1. World-wide interest in neutrino factories
a] Physics World, SLAC Beamline, CERN Courier, Nature
b] Activities at all high energy physics laboratories
c] A Physics Study was completed by Fermilab
d] Suggestion of an MOU from Miani
e] NuFACT'99, NuFACT'OO, plans for NuFact'Ol and '02
2. The NSF has become a significant player
3. A new MCOG Charter and a new Muon Collaboration Charter
4. Appointment of a Project Manager for the MC
5. Snowmass 01 has created a focus for the MC
6. The MC has responded to last year's MUTAC suggestion and produced an
end-to-end study of a factory. (Feasibility I)
7. There will be a Feasibility I+ .
8. There will be a Feasibility II
9. There will be an Emittance Exchange Workshop in September
10. There was technical progress on many fronts

11. An R&D Plan has been developed which outlines required activities
prior to preparing a ZDR. The time scale, in a technologically limit ted
program, is 3 years.
12. An accounting was given of FY99 and the distribution of funds for
this fiscal year (00) was presented.
